A pair of car crashes this weekend have killed two young Michigan residents and left a third clinging to life.
An accident Friday night claimed the life of a 17-year-old Holland Township woman after the vehicle she was driving collided head-on with another vehicle near Olive Township. The young woman had to be extricated from her Honda Accord and was taken to Spectrum Hospital – Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She later died from her injuries.
On Saturday evening, a 10-year-old girl and her 4-year-old brother were crossing Cooper Street in Jackson after playing in nearby Loomis Park when they were struck by a pickup truck. Tragically, the young boy was killed. The 10-year-old remains in critical condition at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
It seems like every single day there is another article about a horrible auto accident. As important and ubiquitous as motor vehicles are, it is inevitable that crashes will occur.
