Three teens were transported to the hospital for injuries they sustained in a two car accident, Monday evening.

Officials report three teens were injured in he accident – 18-year-old girl, of Pinckney, 18-year-old girl, of Canton Township and 17-year-old man, of Webberville. They were transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing with minor injuries. Two other teens were also in the vehicle, they were uninjured

The accident occurred when the vehicle tried to turn left onto eastbound Mason Road from southbound Fowlerville Road. When the vehicle changed its route, it was struck by a 2000 Ford Excursion.

None of the passengers in the Excursion were injured.

The accident is under investigation. It is unclear if the teens were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The driver was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
