Speeding seems to have led to an increase in accidents in Kawkawlin Township. Bay County Sherriff’s deputies are investigating an accident that took place on Thursday, July 9, 2009. The accident left two people injured and caused heavy damage two both vehicles involved.

Residents claim that the 55 mile per hour speed limits that are posted on M-13 highway do little to keep people from speeding as much as 20 miles over the limit. Kawkawlin Township resident William R. Heading says “there’s some kind of crash every week.” He should know, as he recently had his pickup truck totaled when it was rear-ended by another speeding driver.
