The peace and quiet of an early Spring morning was shattered last Sunday as two young people lost their lives in a tragic car crash on M-21 in Lowell, Michigan. The accident occurred near the intersection of East Fulton (also known as M-21) and Settlewood Drive at about 7:40 in the morning on May 23.
According to reports, the 28-year-old male driver lost control of the small pickup truck and smashed into a tree, and was instantly killed along with his 19-year-old female passenger. The driver was wearing a seat belt, while his passenger reportedly was not. The young couple, both of whom are from Kentwood, Michigan, were looking forward to starting a new life together. The tragic crash may have been caused by an issue with the steering column.
