64-year-old Judy Fedewa was killed from injuries sustained in a pedestrian versus pick-up truck car crash in Portland, Michigan on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. The accident took place just after 10:00 a.m. near the intersection of Kent Street and Grand River Avenue. Ms. Fedewa received severe head injuries and was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Early reports from the Portland Police Department indicated that Ms. Fedewa and another pedestrian were crossing Grand River Avenue from the north side of the street. The two pedestrians were then struck by a pick-up truck that was turning left from Kent Street onto westbound Grand River Avenue.
