Bad News Bears actress Sammi Kane Kraft was recently killed in a tragic big rig accident. The young actress, who was 20, was apparently a passenger in an Audi that was traveling at a high rate of speed in Los Angeles when it rear ended a big rig at 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Kraft was riding in the vehicle with 21-year-old Molly Kate Adams. Both young women were trapped inside of the vehicle after it rear ended the big rig and then was hit by another vehicle. Adams was taken to the hospital for moderate injuries, while Kraft was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead. Adams was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Kraft played tomboy Amanda Whurlitzer in the remake of the 1970s classic Bad News Bears. Kraft says that she never could fill Tatum O' Neal's shoes from the original 1976 version of the film, but tried her best to give the role her own flavor. Her brother reported that she was returning from seeing a show on the night of her death and that she had been trying to network with bands. However, he also said that his sister never cared about being famous and enjoyed her time whenever she did receive an opportunity to act.
