In a truly bizarre turn of events that prove that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, a 26-year-old woman from Boynton Beach, Florida, has been arrested on charges that she tried to hire a hit man to kill her husband of only six months. Her elaborate plan included an alibi for herself, and giving police informants and undercover officers details of her husband’s daily schedule.

After believing that her 38-year-old husband had been murdered, Dalia Dippolito played the role of the shocked wife, breaking down in tears as officers feigned sympathy. Much to her surprise, she was later brought to the Boynton Beach police department where her husband was alive and well. She was informed of the investigation and promptly arrested.
