In 2010, Michigan voters will face the solemn task of selecting a new governor. With the final candidate filing deadline approaching in May, the race remains wide open.

It’s no secret that our state is facing tough times. To make matters worse, until 2008 the Michigan Supreme Court and state legislature had been dominated by pro-business, anti-consumer conservatives. However, things are now beginning to turn for the better as people realize that they have the power to make a change. On Monday, Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero will throw his hat into the ring and hope to become part of that change.

One year ago, Bernero made national news during an interview on the Fox News Network:

Clearly, Bernero is not afraid to stand on principle. This is a candidate who will stand up for hard-working consumers and fight back the privileges and immunities granted to businesses at the expense of individuals.

Virg Bernero is not a wimp, he will not get slapped around, and HE WILL FIGHT FOR THE PEOPLE.
