32-year-old Efrain Garcia-Miron faces charges of operating while intoxicated causing death, as a result of driving his vehicle head-on into a Ford Taurus driven by 80-year-old Leonard Dykstra, a retired U.S. Postal Service worker.

Mr. Dykstra subsequently died from his injuries at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. The crash took place on Friday, July 24, 2009, just before 10:00 p.m. Mr. Dykstra had been driving north on Wilson Avenue in Walker, when Mr. Garcia-Miron, from Wyoming, MI, crossed the center-line of Wilson Avenue as he was traveling south and struck Mr. Dykstra’s vehicle head-on.
