Volkswagen Diesel Emissions Fraud Hurts Consumers

Volkswagen has admitted to manipulating 11 million vehicles to lie to regulators about emissions.  VW had installed software in its so-called “Clean Diesel” sedans to sense when the vehicle was being tested for emissions and provide a result that indicated compliance with environmental regulations.  When tested under real-world conditions, however, VW cars emitted huge amounts of dangerous pollutants.

Volkswagen had heavily advertised its “Clean Diesel” cars, promoting them as eco-conscious while still being more fun to drive than hybrid or electric cars.  Many VW purchasers were duped into buying what they thought were earth-friendly, peppy family vehicles.  The scheme appears to be an intentional and brazen attempt to lie to regulators and the public about the quality of VW’s products.

ChurchWyble, P.C., is investigating potential Michigan claims for Volkswagen Group (including Audi) vehicle owners for a National Class Action case.  If you or a family member owns one of the vehicles affected, please contact our office at 1-888-227-4770 for more information.
