Two men were conducting a test run of a zipline at a Hawaii tourist attraction, when one man fell 200 feet to his death and the other was critically injured. According to reports, the operator at the KapohoKine Adventures attraction received complaints that the zipline was moving too slowly and asked the two men to fix the problem.

KapohoKine Adventures is an attraction offering volcano, adventure and zipline tours of the Big Island in Hawaii. Apparently, one of the men–a 36-year-old from Maui–testing the zipline cable was halfway across the 2,300 foot span when the tower supporting the zipline collapsed. He fell 200 feet and died at the scene. The other man–a 35-year-old from Ohio–was standing on the tower that collapsed and fell about 30 feet, resulting in critical injuries.

The Hawaii Police Department released a statement that the second man was taken to Hilo Medical Center in Hawaii and has several internal injuries.
