Consumers now have a wealth of vehicle-related information at their fingertips. You can find out about the latest vehicle recalls, the number of deaths, injuries, or cases of property damage, and a whole host of other safety information relating to your vehicle.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provides free of charge this latest safety information at www.safercar.gov. The new database is a continuation of a notification system initially introduced to automatically warn consumers of tire and child seat recalls.

This information can be extremely important. Being aware of recalls and other safety data can help you and your loved ones avoid injury.
