If you're still following a New Year's resolution and part of it is eating Lean Cuisine meals as part of a weight-loss plan, put down that fork pronto! Nestle, the maker of Lean Cuisine, is voluntary recalling its ravioli dishes because three consumers reportedly found glass fragments in their food.
Luckily, none of the consumers were injured but a total of over 500,000 Lean Cuisine Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli meals are affected. Nestle apologized for their oversight and asks all consumers to discard the affected products with production codes of 2311587812 and 2312587812 and a "best before date" of December 2013. Nestle also says that this is the first time that it has ever encountered glass fragments in its products and that they are surprised about the discovery considering they have a "no glass policy" in place in their factories. However, this is not the first Lean Cuisine recall–Nestle recalled Lean Cuisine Spaghetti with Meatballs in 2011 after customers complained about red plastic in their food.
