Skywalker Holdings LLC is busy passing out free repair kits to consumers who purchased their trampolines. More than 60,000 of the company’s trampolines have been voluntarily recalled under orders from the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission, after the company received more than 250 complaints from consumers that the straps that support the top of the trampoline’s enclosure were breaking.

The faulty equipment could cause potentially serious injuries: without the straps, the enclosure could drop and users may fall off of the trampoline. No injuries have been reported yet.

The trampolines were made in China and distributed by the Utah-based Skywalker Holdings LLC, and were sold at specialty stores and major retailers from January 2007 to February 2009 for approximately $400 to $600.
