Methuen, Massachusetts—they just wanted to lay their beloved mother to rest, but instead are now suing the funeral company who they allege stole their mother’s jewelry right off of her hands and neck.  Debra Rovinski filed a lawsuit against the Cataudella Funeral Home after she discovered three rings and a necklace she gave to the staff in May 2008 to put on her deceased mother, Leonita Klier, were missing during a private viewing.

Furthermore, the family was reported as “distraught” and “upset” over the seemingly stolen, especially since the funeral home staff accused the family of stealing their own mother’s jewelry.

While the family’s lawyer did not disclose a monetary value for the missing jewelry, the family maintains that it still had immense sentimental value.  Nevertheless, the Cataudella Funeral Home officials refused to comment.
