The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is widely considered the busiest travel time of the entire year.  It’s also probably the most dangerous.  This year, low gas prices and relatively nice weather mean even more travelers will be hitting the road.  Here are a few reminders about driving safely so you can enjoy the holiday with your family for years to come:

  • Don’t drive drowsy, drunk or distracted.
  • Buckle up and follow the speed limit and other posted warnings.
  • Stop and rest if you need to, and consider rotating drivers for longer trips.
  • Keep your gas tank reasonably full to avoid running out or, in case of a break down, to prevent the fuel lines from freezing.
