It’s official. Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Diane Marie Hathaway has been nominated to run against incumbent Chief Judge Cliff Taylor for the Michigan Supreme Court. Among lawyers she is the clear favorite, according to a Michigan Lawyers Weekly poll, by a margin of 9 to 1, and that ought to tell you something. She wants to change the way our Court is viewed and restore fairness and integrity.
As the daughter of a Detroit police officer, she learned the values of hard work and integrity. Instead of siding with big insurance companies and corporations, Diane Hathaway believes we need a fair and impartial court that stands up for people.
If you want change (and we need it), finish your ballot even if you are voting “straight party” by selecting Diane Marie Hathaway for the Michigan Supreme Court. Remember, Supreme Court Justice is not a political position – it requires a separate vote. Vote all the way, vote Hathaway!
