Parents Forget Kids at Chuck E. Cheese More Often Than You Think

Comments Off

Chuck E. Cheese's is fun for kids and parents alike–kids have a blast playing games, eating pizza and playing with their friends while parents get a breather or two. However, the Chuck E. Cheese might offer too much of a distraction for some parents. Reports say that parents have forgotten their kids 5 times in the past year at Chuck E. Cheese restaurants across the country.

One example occured recently in Maryland when a couple forgot their 3-year-old daughter Harmony at Chuck E. Cheese. They did not realize the little girl was gone until her face appeared on the nightly news. Apparently, Harmony approached staff asking for something to drink, and when her parents couldn't be located, that's when they called the police. Harmony's parents apparently thought the little girl was riding home with another relative. Another incident occured in Texas, when 5-year-old Azana Jackson's mother forgot the girl after her own birthday party. Azana's mother apparently called 911 the next morning while getting her other children ready for school. Authorities are still trying to decide whether to press charges and Azana is currently in custody.

Ironically, both of these incidents occured within the same week in March.
