Golf Courses Present Many Hazards…Sand, Water and Getting Stabbed?

Comments Off

If you've ever been stuck behind a group of slow golfers, you might have gotten the go-ahead to pass them. Usually, it's not that big of a deal and the group may even be relieved not to have you hounding them to play faster. However, that wasn't the case for a group of three golfers that tried to pass a slow foursome on a Texas golf course.

According to the Fort-Worth Telegram, an altercation occured when the three golfers got the nod from the course marshal to play ahead of the slow foursome. Clay Carpenter, a member of the threesome, got into a verbal shouting match with one of the foursome group members and was ultimately stabbed in the leg with a broken golf club twice. But that wasn't the weirdest or most twisted part of the story.

As Carpenter lay on the ground with a punctured femoral artery and massive blood clots, the foursome called 911 and told the dispatcher that he had fallen on a golf club "or something". He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly may have to have his leg amputated because of the loss of blood. Granted, people get into arguments all the time on the golf course, but this one takes the cake as far as going too far. Hopefully this foursome will get into some trouble for their over-the-top violent behavior and then lying to cover up their misdeed.
