Pubic Hair Safety Tips

From what I have read, personal grooming injuries are a serious but overlooked issue.  According to a recently published study, about three-quarters of Americans groom their pubic hair.  About 25% of groomers suffer an injury of some kind, with cuts being the most common type of injury, followed by burns and then rashes.  Two-thirds of respondants had injured themselves more than once, and nearly a third had injured themselves 5 or more times.

The findings should not be surprising.  Grooming sensitive but hard-to-reach areas with sharp, hot, or chemical products is bound to result in occasional injuries.  Even a small amount of research reveals a strange history of grooming-related injuries.  Perhaps the most unusual is a spate of anthrax infections suffered by Americans around World War I as a result of infected shaving brushes.  Although modern shaving brushes should be safe, it is worth remembering that seemingly mundane tasks like personal hygiene can be dangerous if you don’t pay attention to safety.

In order to reduce the risk of injury, use the right equipment and take your time.
