The statistics are grim: Car crashes are the #1 killer of teenagers. Some form of distracted driving is a contributing factor in 80% – about 4 million – of these accidents. For those who survive these crashes, there are often life-changing physical injuries; distracted driving costs millions of dollars in property damage, medical costs, and other economic losses. Even with tough laws on the books, distracted driving continues to be a major problem, particularly among younger drivers.

Our firm wants to be part of the solution.

Hundreds of volunteers from across the country are joining an effort to educate teenagers about the dangers of distracted driving. The coordinated program involves presenting materials and speaking at local high schools. So far, the effort has been extremely well-received and has garnered the support of numerous national organizations. All of this will be leading up to National Distracted Driving Month in April 2012.

We look forward to bringing this incredibly important message to our community. Help us address the problem by practicing safe driving habits and encouraging others (especially young drivers) to do so.
